Make Your Wedding Planning Feel Less Of A Chore

Is the planning of the wedding getting a little too much for you? Does it sometimes seem a little easier to run away from it all? Planning a wedding may be stressful, but there are plenty of things you can do to make it easier. There is information contained in this article that will ease some of the wedding frustration.

One of the most vital things that you will have to do is to stick to your budget when you are getting married. You will have a lot of temptation to spend a great deal of money, but will have to understand your financial restrictions to avoid getting into a hole.

If you will be having an outdoor wedding, consider the costs involved. To save money on your wedding, keep in mind that outdoor weddings may require permits, have party size restrictions, and if you will be allowed to have music. Also, weather conditions could add extra costs to your outdoor wedding plans.

Your wedding photos are important as they will be the memories you carry with you for the years to come. Have someone highly experienced help you with the pictures if you have the money to afford it. It will be important later in life.

If you are planning a wedding, consider keeping your guest list on the smaller side. You can save money by having not so many guests. You can show your small number of guests’ greater details such as large gift baskets, large meals, and limo services. This can be paid for just by reducing your guest list.

Vintage or antique place settings are a perfect addition to a retro or period-inspired rehearsal dinner or reception, but they are also extremely expensive. Instead of spending days trying to track down a complete set, consider private rental companies that, for a modest sum, rent out entire place settings, silverware, and serving utensils.

Displaying photographs of the bride and groom adds a personal touch to any reception, but the cost of decorative picture frames can add up very quickly. Instead, string two- to three-foot sections of ribbon, faux pearls, or floral garlands in a conspicuous place near the entry to the reception site. Then, use small scrapbook clips to clip the photographs to the ribbon. This is much more affordable and prevents damage to your photos.

Too many flower arrangements on the guest tables at your reception are usually an interference and an extra unnecessary expense. If you have too many flowers, they can actually become a hindrance to your guests. Also, you must consider that a guest may be allergic to the flowers. One classy alternative to flowers is unscented candles.

Try to avoid being sick for your wedding! Up your intake of Vitamin C and eat only healthy items in the weeks leading up to the big day. Stay away from any foods that may cause stomach upset or gas as the last thing you want to do when you’re standing at the front of the ceremony is be flatulent!

Consider getting married on a weekday. Most wedding venues are much cheaper to hire on weekdays than on weekends, and many venues offer couples specials deals on bar and catering costs if they book their wedding on a weekday. Just make sure that all your important wedding guests can get time off work to attend.

Speak to your family and friends in regards to services for your wedding. You never know when you might have an overlooked relative who handles music or cooking. You may also find that your friends have connections to service professionals who can offer you a discounted price due to the referral.

Practice walking down the aisle before the big day. Many brides get nervous when they have never walked down the aisle, which can cause them to trip and fall. Also, if you have young children as ring bearers, make sure they practice before your wedding day, so they know what they are doing.

If you’re going to have children at your wedding, consider them when you choose your menu. If the items you really want to have aren’t palatable to children, include some child-friendly items in a quantity that matches the number of children attending in your order to your caterer so they will be considered, too. Don’t forget drinks!

For an intimate atmosphere that encourages guests to mingle and interact with each other, consider long tables with benches instead of multiple round tables. This helps to create a more natural pattern of communication and invite shared conversations. This arrangement can also cut down on the costs of paying for multiple floral arrangements for each table.

Your cake may be a focal point in your wedding plans which means not only hiring the best your money can afford, but taking everything into consideration in your choices. Whether it be the theme, the flowers, your dress or whatever the cake ties into, do not hesitate to ask for the perfect cake. Find the right cake vendor who sees your vision and will carry it out.

Make your floral arrangements more complex by incorporating different heights. Try using vases that are tall for more compact heads with long stems. Then, place flowers such as sweet peas, hydrangeas or peonies around the tall vases. The short flowers should be a light color.

At a wedding, I’m saying the actual wedding and not the after party, do not get too intoxicated! Otherwise, you could embarrass the bride, groom and their entire families! If you are the bride and you get too drunk, well Americas Funniest Videos will be seeing a submission from someone at that wedding!

If you can afford one, a wedding planner can be a huge time and stress saver. Not only can a planner coordinate your wedding and work with you to make your vision a reality, but she can also be a great resource for ideas and opinions. She will save you from dealing with every little minor detail and let you focus on high-level planning and being able to enjoy the process.

Don’t let wedding planning get you down! You may have a lot to worry about, but the advice in this article will make the work you have to do much easier to manage. Soon, you’ll be able to stop stressing about your wedding, and start looking forward to your big day instead.

The Best Strategies For Mastering The Field Of Cellulite

Tips and tricks help us to do a bunch of things in life. For example, you may ask your mother for tips on baking a pie so you create one as good as hers. When it comes to beating cellulite, all you have to do is check out the ideas below.

If you have cellulite that you have been trying to get rid of, you should try getting more exercise. While this will not make the cellulite go away, it will redistribute some of the fatty deposits and remove some of the excess fluids. This will make the problem areas look a lot smoother.

Try bursts of intensive exercise to lower those cellulite fat deposits. A good exercise to do this with is jumping rope. Keep the exercise short and intense helps target those areas you are having trouble with, while not disrupting your day. Try to find a few minutes every few hours and get a few repetitions in.

Swapping your salt can make a huge difference in preventing cellulite. Instead of adding regular, refined table salt to your food, opt for Himalayan crystal or Celtic sea salt. Refined salt is very acidic and extracts essential minerals from the body. It also dehydrates your skin, adding to the accumulation of toxic in your body.

A natural way to get rid of cellulite is by switching your salt. Believe it or not, table salt could be causing you to have cellulite; its acidity depletes you of minerals you need in your body. It makes your body more “toxic.” Switch over to Himalayan crystal salt or Celtic sea salt.

Get daily exercise into your life. Burning fat is essential if you’re looking to rid yourself of cellulite. Obviously, if you don’t exercise, you’ll be more prone to cellulite occurring. Just 30 minutes of high impact exercise a day can make a real difference to how you look. It’s worth it.

You should try to stay hydrated while eating foods that have healthy oils. Why do this? Because bodies that are hydrated show less of the dimpling effect so prevalent with cellulite. When you hydrate your skin, you make it more plump. This eliminates the dimples. It’s an effective and easy way to fight it.

Make sure that you’re drinking plenty of water. There are many reasons to drink water. When you’re not drinking enough water, sodium can build up. This can cause you to retain water, producing excess cellulite. Drinking plenty of water can remedy this and keep your skin hydrated, cutting down on cellulite.

You can try using bronzer to fight off your cellulite. A faux tan in the area that are prone to tan make your skin look better and draw attention away from the dimples. The darker colors can make these dimples appear smaller. Just make sure to exfoliate first with a gentle body scrub on those areas, then you can use a tanning lotion or spray.

Add more fatty acids to your diet in order to reduce cellulite. They help to make connective tissue around your fat cells stronger. Also, they help to slow down the production of fat cells, thus reducing cellulite. Good sources of fatty acids include blackcurrent seed oil, olive oil, fish oil, and flackseed oil.

Tanning can help to hide cellulite. Tanning won’t rid you of the problem, but it will mask it. Avoid sun exposure, and just use a self-tanning lotion or spray for the most effective solutions. Be sure to research these methods ahead of time to ascertain they will work for you.

Poor blood circulation could be a contributing factor to your cellulite. Avoid sitting for extended periods of time. If you must sit for work, try to get up at least every half hour for five minutes or so. That will get the blood flowing and will reduce the effects that cellulite has on your buttocks and upper thighs.

You can improve the appearance of cellulite by using a loofah and vigorously scrubbing at the area of concern. This will reduce the lumpy appearance and restore blood flow to the area. This will help, especially when paired with exercises that target the areas of unwanted cellulite on your body.

To give the illusion of smoother skin, put on a self-tanning lotion first where the bumps are. After that, spray yourself with another self-tanning product which gives you full coverage. This will make the bumps disappear while giving you a slimming tan that makes your whole body look its best.

Want to quickly get all eyes away from your cellulite? Brush a shiny bronzer up and down the front of your legs where they are tight and cellulite-free. This will draw the eye to the front of your body and away from your problem areas, ensuring only the best of you is shown off.

Cellulite is caused by fat deposits under the skin, typically located on the thighs and buttocks at puberty. Many women and some men who tend to be somewhat overweight have a considerable amount of cellulite. The most effective way to get rid of it is to lose the excess weight.

If you have a lot of cellulite, consider avoiding bread products for a month or more. Carbohydrates from bread are processed as sugar, which is a big cause of the formation of cellulite. When you get rid of it, you will be doing your body a lot of good.

Try using a self tanner to hide that cellulite. If you are starting to battle cellulite but still want a way to hide what’s there currently, a self tanning cream can really do wonders. The cream helps even out skin tone, which, in effect, helps hide that cellulite from view.

Sometimes things in life are just handed to us, while other times we have to take the initiative to learn what we can. Today, you have invested your time in this article and that will pay you back in dividends as your cellulite melts away. Start using this advice to tighten your skin today.

The Baby Steps Of Internet Marketing You Need To Know

We challenge you to try to find a better set of tips about internet marketing elsewhere, because it is highly unlikely. Be sure to read this article first, because the advice written here comes from experts in the field, and is written in a way that you can directly apply to your own situation.

Video marketing is one of the gold mines online that is just now beginning to become discovered. All wise marketing plans should include some kind of exposure on popular video sites and tubes. The most simple methods, such as including a link in the video, will work wonderfully for the purpose without being too invasive.

Get good content for your website. Content is what people come to your site for in the first place. Offer them something relevant to their wants and needs that benefits them. Before trying to sell your product or service, give your site visitors something that will make them want to stay around.

Promote and perform your own give-aways. Many websites gain readers, and therefore buyers, by holding a give-away of a product they have reviewed. People love free goodies, and many other websites cater to finding these give-aways for sweepstakes aficionados. These people may come to your site first for the give-away, but many will return for the content in the future.

Design localized content that relates to your readers on a regional level. Marketing online means you are no longer confined to advertising in a specific neighborhood, but people still appreciate information that they feel is tailored to them. Research details about an area’s needs and then show how your product will help that community.

To encourage visitors trust your opinion, include positive and negative reviews on your site. While negative reviews shouldn’t be used to market a product, using them in conjunction with positive reviews of your merchant’s products will make you look trustworthy. This technique can also be used to sell older products. When giving a product a negative review, mention how it doesn’t compare to one of your merchant’s products, and include a link.

Create as much content as you possibly can, abiding by the budget that you create. The more content that you have on the Internet, the better the chance that it will come up on searches. This will directly lead more potential customers to your site and increase the chance of product purchases.

When website owners have good news, they ought to share it online. This is a savvy internet marketing strategy. Posting news updates generates fresh content for a website, gives regular visitors to the site something new to think about and increases the site’s standing with search engines. Regular bits of good news also keep a website positive and upbeat, which enourages visitors to trust the site.

Make sure you look up the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and familiarize yourself with it. If you follow all of the guidelines established in the act, you’re likely to keep your customers happy. The act includes things like honoring unsubscribe requests within ten day. If you follow the guidelines your readers will appreciate it and give you repeat business.

Don’t tell your potential customers that you are going to fix “they’re” problems! It is unpleasant and unpalatable, but it is true. Grammar still counts online. If you are trying to establish a professional internet marketing effort, your grammar needs to stand out as polished and businesslike. Poor grammar discourages potential customers from trusting you and thinking of you as a reliable resource.

You need to decide what you want your customers to take away from your website. If you are not planning to do business online then you need to make that clear, but still be informative about how your customers can make a purchase. If you are going to sell online, you still need to give customers a way to contact you so they can receive help or ask questions about the product.

Keep referral links active in your posts. You may not immediately make money from these but over time it may add up and work to your benefit to keep them on your site. If a visitor is referred by you, you may still make money from them, even if they don’t use your site.

Your Internet marketing communications should offer a clear idea of what type of support customers can expect from your company after the sale. This includes warranty, returns, technical support, or upgrades, for example. This eliminates confusion and provides both buyer and seller with expectations and instructions that may be required.

Answer questions in your field wherever you can on the internet. There are many sites where people can ask questions and receive expert opinions; find these sites and offer your services. This is a great opportunity to establish yourself as an expert on the internet; and if you are answering questions well people will want to know more and will visit your website.

Try offering a section like a web form or an email link at the bottom of ads on your site to find out why visitors are not clicking or buying the product in the ad. It could be something as simple as not liking a color on the ad, not liking the text, thinking that it needs a better graphic or placement, etc. It could be anything, so try this as a way to improve your ads.

Your company logo is very important to your internet marketing efforts. Take your time to develop a great logo. If you cannot design a killer logo, make sure you outsource this task to a skilled individual who can develop a great logo. This is what will identify your business, so don’t skip this step.

In conclusion, it is unlikely that you did not learn at least a handful of helpful hints from this article. As promised, you were given quite a few ideas to try out. Ideally they will help you notice a difference in your internet marketing success. Use this information, and watch your business succeed.

Leaping Into the 6th Technology Revolution

We are seven years into the start of what experts at BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research call the Sixth Revolution. A table via Carlotta Perez, which was introduced during a new BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research lunch get-together facilitated by Robert Preston and Steven Milunovich, diagrams the unrests that are sudden voluntarily that lead to the one in which we get ourselves.

1771: Mechanization and improved water wheels

1829: Development of steam for industry and railroads

1875: Cheap steel, accessibility of power, and the utilization of city gas

1908: Inexpensive oil, mass-created inward ignition motor vehicles, and general power

1971: Expansion of data and media communications

2003: Cleantech and biotech

The Vantage of Hindsight

Glancing back at 1971, we realize that Intel’s presentation of the microchip denoted the start of another period. Yet, around there, this implied little to people watching Mary Tyler Moore and The Partridge Family, or tuning in to Tony Orlando and Dawn and Janis Joplin. Individuals would recollect humankind’s initial steps on the Moon, opening relations among US and China, maybe the effective culmination of the Human Genome Project to 99.99% precision, and conceivably the introduction of Prometea, the primary pony cloned by Italian researchers.

As per Ben Weinberg, Partner, Element Partners, “Each day, we see American organizations with promising innovations that can’t convey their items in view of an absence of obligation financing. By filling this hole, the public authority will light the mass arrangement of inventive innovations, permitting advances going from modern waste warmth to post mounted sun powered PV to demonstrate their financial aspects and gain validity in the obligation markets.”

Flying underneath our aggregate radar was the principal floppy plate drive by IBM, the world’s first email sent by Ray Tomlinson, the dispatch of the main laser printer by Xerox PARC and the Cream Soda Computer by Bill Fernandez and Steve Wozniak (who might discovered the Apple Computer organization with Steve Jobs a couple of years after the fact). https://www.nkud.com

Review: 8 Earth Friendly Cars, Plus a Tesla

I saw my first Tesla.

Up close, and personal. My first impression: This car is teeny. Would I be able to fold in my 6-foot 2-inch frame? Heck yes!

Tesla Roadster
With 3.7 seconds to 60 mph, this baby would fly. The possibility of me expanding my horizons with speeding tickets would increase exponentially if I were allowed access.

The Tesla Roadster was one of the key attractions at Fresno Earth Day celebration at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Fresno. Accompanying the little black electric powered ball of fury were a Nissan Leaf,    ホームページ制作 福岡    a Chevy Volt, a solar-powered Toyota Prius, a hybrid Honda Insight and several other vehicles of interest.

The festivities included other attractions. Those included 75 participants for a crowd-pleasing variety that included live music, food, workshops, tours, exhibits, free e-waste recycling, solar cooking & bio-fuel making demonstrations, xeriscaping and more. The church itself is worth checking out as it is LEED certified and makes use of energy efficient materials, low-flow plumbing and landscaping that needs very little water.

But I was there to see the cars. For me, the experience proved valuable even if it was self-indulgent. My wife, Peggy, tagged along for the experience. I promised her it would be brief and that I would avoid engaging in any long-winded discussions about cars.

I succeeded. We left after about 20 minutes and still got a chance to look at the solar oven display. Very cool concept. Great for reducing deforestation in third world countries.

Zap Car
But the wheeled objects really captured my interest. There was a Zap car, one of the three-wheeled creations of the Santa Rosa-based manufacturer of electric vehicles that until recently served as a niche product. Zap recently purchased controlling interest in Chinese automaker Zhejiang Jonway Automobile Co. Ltd. and hopes to tap into the growing Chinese market with a new lineup of vehicles. I suspect it’s a company to watch.

Peggy snapped several pictures of the Zap mobile, figuring it would be a favorite of her students. She teaches ninth-grade English at rural Riverdale High School (which by the way has its own solar installation.)

Nissan Leaf
I checked out the Nissan Leaf. The owner explained details of power consumption and some of the variables for getting the most miles out of a charge. One thing I noticed about the rig was that it looked a lot beefier in person. The photos of the Leaf online make it look dainty somehow.

Up close, the Leaf looks quite solid. The aluminum wheels are rather large and sporty and the interior is spacious and not too Jetsons. Here’s a shout-out to Phil T, who’s been blogging about his experiences as a SoCal Leaf owner for the past several months. “Phil, you’re right. Photos don’t do the car justice.”

Smart Car
We also got to get up close and personal with Smart car. I’ve been repulsed by the things since I first saw one skittering down the freeway. All I can think of is the short wheel base and how the thing would spin like a top on ice.

But looking at it from a different angle gave me greater appreciation. Just the engineering of the car is amazing. All sorts of stuff crammed in without looking crammed. The engine fits in back like a Bug. (Obviously not in in a Beetle’s league, but still interesting.)

There’s an electric version of the rig available this year at dealerships across the country. Dubbed Smart Fortwo Electric, the tiny vehicle was anticipated by Daimler designers two decades to be powered by an electric drive train, according to officials. They apparently left room in the design so there appears no change in outward appearance in the two vehicles.

VW TDI
Two vehicles that stood out at the Earth Day event, at least to me, were a couple of Volkswagen Jetta TDI series, one older and another brand new. TDI, for turbo direct injection diesel, is the designation VW bestowed upon its latest generation of diesel vehicles. The older Jetta was tuned to run on biodiesel, while the new one sported VW’s latest “clean diesel” technology. Mileage in the latter is listed at 34 mpg combined city/highway.

Fred Voglmaier, who writes on tdiclub.com, says demand for the diesel rigs is high. Could be.

Toyota Prius
The Prius owner at the Earth Day event gave a serious rundown on what kind of mileage he gets under multiple conditions. The data was fascinating and he can get up to 56 mpg under certain conditions. The model even was equipped with a solar panel in the glass roof.

Toyota is set to introduce its Prius PHV, for plug-in hybrid, next year. Here’s how Steve Siler of caranddriver.com described the differences with the conventional hybrid: “The Prius PHV is essentially just a Prius whose nickel-metal hydride battery pack has been swapped for a far pricier, far heavier, and far more potent lithium-ion pack.”

Range is supposed to be far less than the Volt or Leaf.

Chevy Volt
The Chevy Volt looked the most conventional of the electric cars at the Unitarian church that day. In fact, it looked rather large, hardly a compact car. Interior space was ample, and the design, inside and out, was very un-Chevy. By that, I mean Chevy’s had a reputation for short-shifting its cars on style. The SUVs look cool. The cars, on the other hand, and I personally believe since the Camaro was redesigned in the 1970s, just looked lame.

The Volt, and the redesigned Camaro, return Chevy to a contender among car buyers.

Biodiesel Mercedes
There was also a beat up old Mercedes at the show that looked as if the owner brewed the biodiesel in the trunk. It’s an original, late 70s or early 80s vintage. Cool but definitely somebody else’s project.

Honda Insight
The Honda Insight is a great vehicle and reasonably priced. Great entry for the hybrid/electric market. My wife despises the design as she does that of the Prius.

All in all great show. I saw the Tesla driving around Fresno. I pointed it out to some young people at the athletic club, but they just stared blankly until I said, “0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds.”

Mike Nemeth, project manager of the San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization, spent 24 years working as a newspaperman editing and reporting from Alaska to California. The SJVCEO is a nonprofit dedicated to improving quality of life through increased use of clean and alternative energy. The SJVCEO is based in Fresno, Calif. and works with cities and counties and public and private organizations to demonstrate the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable energy throughout the eight-county region of the San Joaquin Valley.

Multi-level Marketing – Is It For You?

Multi-level marketing is a great way to earn a living if you know it all works. Unfortunately so many people rush into these businesses only to find themselves not doing as well as they thought they would. Don’t be one of these people! You can succeed with MLM if you understand how it works, and below is a great place to start.

If things are not going well for you in terms of sales, don’t take it out on the members of your downline. When things aren’t going well for you, this will tend to trickle down to other levels in your team. If you are in a slump, try to keep your spirits up and present an optimistic outlook. This will help keep morale high in general, and you will soon recover from your lull.

Keep your own ethics in mind. Multi-level marketing is chock full of players with less than scrupulous methods. There are a ton of shady tactics out there that likely can get you into more trouble than they’re worth. Keep that in mind as you move forward with your marketing goals.

Consider new ways to market your product. There are tons of marketers out there selling lots of products. You’ve got to find a way to break through the clutter and be seen (and heard). Brainstorm on creative ways to showcase your product both online and in real life. This can make all the difference.

When choosing a multi-level marketing company, make sure the company has a good business system which offers training and support to its representatives. You may have picked a great company with great products and management, but if you don’t have the adequate support your chances for success are greatly reduced.

Become a good article writer. A terrific method of promoting your MLM opportunity and creating leads is article marketing. You’ve got to build up your confidence to write longer articles. Don’t consider these selling pieces. You want to write from the heart about themes related to your products and business.

In order to succeed in multi-level marketing, you must be willing to listen to your mentors and learn. Most multi-level marketing companies offer mentorship from the company’s MLM veterans to new representatives. It is in the veteran’s best interest to see you succeed, so most of the time they are willing to teach you how the system works. You can duplicate your mentor’s success by listening and practicing what they teach.

Test your products thoroughly. The secret to multi-level marketing (like most marketing) is knowing your product better than anyone else. If you know your product backwards and forwards, then you can riff on it in conversation. You can find ways to position it as a solution to a large variety of problems. And that’ll really increase sales.

Practice everything that your mentors teach and preach. Be willing to listen and learn from them. Given the nature of how multi-level marketing is structured, your mentors succeed when you succeed. Since they are vested in your success, do not waste their time. Duplicate what they do to be successful yourself.

Do not count anyone out when building your downline. Even if you are not particularly fond of a person, they can still make money for you. They may even be quite good at it. Dismissing an individual out of hand could cost you money in the long run, and that defeats the whole purpose of MLM.

When planning a get-together to present your multilevel marketing opportunity, be sure the parameters are defined. Limit the time to an hour or so. In this way, you will have plenty of time to present your thoughts, socialize and answer questions without having the event consume your entire day or evening.

Here is a good format for a multilevel marketing presentation event. Allow people to gather and have refreshments for the first 10 or 15 minutes. Get their attention, thank them for coming and discuss your opportunity for about 20 minutes. Open the floor to questions for 10 to 15 minutes. Allow time for more refreshments and mingling.

Take the time to filter your recruits. Anyone looking to make a quick dollar is not worth your efforts. This attitude will lead them down paths that could ultimately hurt your business as they mismanage customers. You also don’t want to dismiss someone just because they are only ready to give a few hours a week.

Analyze yourself and your finances thoroughly before getting involved in multi-level marketing. Can you potentially afford to lose the money you put into this? Are you a natural salesman that can succeed in marketing and selling products. Despite what some brochures or websites might claim, this is not something where you just show up and make money.

Use part of your presentation to interact with your audience. People need to feel like they are personally included in your presentation. While you cannot have everyone on stage with you, asking group questions and speaking with a few individuals will have a powerful impact on the audience as a whole.

Be sure to tell your audience what they will have to gain by taking immediate action. The longer your target waits, the less likely they will be to complete the desired action. This means that, as part of your call to action, you need to explain exactly what the other person has to gain by taking action immediately.

Choose the right sponsor for your MLM program. Your sponsor should be someone who will give you any support that you need to get started and to succeed. He or she should be someone who communications with you regularly. You are part of the team. If you do not feel like that, you should find someone else.

As stated in the above article, it is very important that you get in with the right MLM company, otherwise you could just be wasting your time. Many people have succeed with MLM, but just as many if not more have failed miserably. Don’t let that be you! Stick to what you learned here to better yourself, and find an MLM that works best for you.

Gossip – A Form of Workplace Violence

To many folks, the idea of “workplace violence” connotes the physical harm that one may do to another. However, there is another form of workplace violence that is as dangerous and insidious, and this is workplace gossip.

Gossip is any language that would cause another harm, pain, or confusion that is used outside the presence of another for whom it is intended.

As a facilitator, trainer and business coach, I’ve experienced numerous workplace situations where gossip was a norm. Curiously enough, in these same organizations, ホームページ制作 福岡 most folks would say they were “against” it. Even more, in these same situations, after formal meetings to discuss the “gossip issue,” after sensitivity workshops designed to reduce and eliminate pernicious gossip, after mandating “there be no more gossip…” and after pledging to have more honest, open and direct communication (wherein folks verbalized their “commitment” to speak directly to a colleague, in order to eliminate the “gossip problem,”) many of these same committed folks consciously choose to continue to engage in the practice of gossip.

Why?

Gossip is essentially a form of attack, which often arise from an individual’s conscious and unconscious fears. For some people, their ostensible commitment “not to gossip” is easily lost in their fears, anxieties, or concerns about what their life might be like if they stopped gossiping. (e.g., “Who would I be then?” What would I do then?” “How would I be one of the guys…?” “Would I have to eat lunch alone?” “Would I lose all my friends?”) Some broader definitions of gossip not only relate to “negative” remarks, but even extend to “positive” or “neutral” remarks that are focused on making conversation that is centered on the activities/behaviors of others, again, outside the presence of that person.

Stopping the practice of “talking about others” is challenging for many. Why? Many folks just can’t be authentic in life. So, many revert to the self-defense mechanism of gossiping, which is a defense mechanism or self-protection device they use to so they never have to :show up”, or be vulnerable, or disclose information about their feelings or emotions, or “open up”. For these folks, gossiping is a strategy for protecting against revealing one’s real or true self. These folks have walked around for so long wearing masks and assuming false identities, that opening up and revealing who they really, really are is just downright frightening and threatening.

So, one’s inner desire to be authentic and sincere, and not gossip, needs to emerge from a person’s deep sense of integrity, and from a conscious, heart-felt desire to be harmless in the context of their life and in their interactions with others.

Without this profound inner commitment to harmlessness, an injunction to “stop gossiping”, for example, is simply an “outer” induced rule or policy that can often bring up ego-based behaviors in reaction to the “rule.” So, one continues to find “excuses” (since there’s never a “reason”) to gossip.

From this outer perspective toward gossiping, some people may take on the role of being an enforcer of the rule; others may not want to “enforce” the rule because they don’t wish to be perceived as too assertive, too aggressive, too pushy, or too tough when they call others on their gossiping. In addition, others may not want to be identified as a “do-gooder”, “crusader”, or “spiritual” etc.

In addition, there are those folks who want or need to be liked and accepted, and who want or need others to feel comfortable with them, and so they often continue to engage in the gossip when approached. Why? They don’t want to feel like the “odd one out.”

So, at the end of the day (and throughout the day!), the commitment not to gossip often dissipates rather quickly over time.

Or, someone may be “upholding the rule” outwardly, but still be gossiping in their thoughts, still sending out hostile vibrations, and just being “quiet” about it. Often, this covert behavior is even more dangerous and insidious.

Gossip is a fear-based behavior and so one’s need for self-protection (i.e., not “show up” authentically) is often greater than one’s initial commitment “not to gossip.” The self-protection brings a kind of pseudo safety and false sense of well-being that might otherwise be in jeopardy; so one continues to gossip to keep the focus on “someone else, not me.”

For other folks, the issue is not so much that they’re consciously being self-protective; it’s when they DON’T KNOW they are being self-protective that is critical, and thus, many people are unable to take self-responsibility for their behavior. As a result, many folks begin to look outside themselves (blame, find fault, complain, whine…) when they fail to take responsibility for themselves, as they don’t have the awareness to go inside to explore “what’s up.” So, they gossip and look to fine some “reason”, out there, to gossip.

Unless we truly explore our inner behavior (mental models, self-images, ego
constructs, super-ego judgments, attendant beliefs, feelings and emotions), we
cannot be free from both the urge and the habit of gossip.

We can stop gossiping in the workplace only when an inner desire emerges from a deep sense of integrity and authenticity, and a conscious desire to be harmless in the context of our life and in our interactions with others.

Gossip is a form of workplace violence. To be free from inflicting this violence on others we need to explore and heal the split between our outer self and inner self. Only then can we live honest, sincere and responsible lives in the workplace, and out.

How to coach yourself about gossiping:

Why am I engaging in gossiping or supporting others who do so?

What does gossiping get me?

Is there another way to get this same result without harming another?

Does gossiping align with my personal and my organization’s espoused values around respecting and honoring people?

Would I repeat this gossip directly to the person it’s about?

Would I want to be quoted on TV or in the papers or in the company newsletter?

Would I encourage my children to engage in the behavior of gossip?

Would I engage in it if it were about a relative or personal friend?

Am I expressing my authenticity, sincerity, and integrity when I gossip?

Does gossiping match my commitments to my self and others?

Do I feel ethical when I’m gossiping?

Own Your Ears! Keys to Sifting the Truth from Gossip Groups

You big, fat bully! Wow. What an earful you just got. And how did that feel to you? Not nice, I am sure. I will bet that you never thought that you did not own your own ears. Truth is, sometimes your ears belong to someone else and you do not even know it. In hurried times, busy days and in large bustling cities, our ears and eyes take in so much information, literature and resources in one single day that sometimes we relinquish our ears to those who have the biggest mouths.

Busy, busy and No Time For Reflection: What I am saying is that sometimes when we are too busy and our days are too filled with activities we tend to just listen to what people are saying instead of finding out the truth ourselves. Sometimes even our own friends can lead us astray by what they say about other people. We listen to our friends and we trust what they say. That is a given. After all, who would not trust their friends? The problem with this process is that today in our cities, we too quickly call someone a friend, when they are not a friend.

You have acquaintances at work and at school who are just that. They begin as acquaintances. But they are not true friends until we really get to know them, and they get to know us. You cannot be a friend to someone who is in a message board or chat room where you know little about them. And even if you happen to go to school with them, you need to know a little bit about them before you trust their every single word.

Your Listening Skills: So, when listening to what people say about other people (we should stop right there) , you need to decipher for yourself what is true and what is not true. If your friend (acquaintance) says something about someone and then continues to play the childish game of he said, she said, he said , instead of allowing you to make your own decisions or make your own judgments, then that person is obviously not a real friend to you or to anyone else. The process that I just described is the process of gossip.

All Gossip is Gossip, whether it is true or false; it is all gossip: What some do not realize is that some gossip can be true and some gossip can be false but in the end, all gossip is just that gossip. In our fast-paced society, in our vastly-growing cities, people tend to leave their brains open to anything that is out there. And they do not realize that they are being brainwashed by whatever anyone else wants them to take in. There is so much gossip out there. There is gossip in our schools, workplaces, places that we volunteer in; there is even gossip in our churches, and in our church meetings. It seems like there is no limit to the places where gossip rests its’ ugly head.

Gossip in Groups, Message Boards & Chat Rooms: These kinds of places usually consist of three kinds of people. In these places you have a handful of your normal or average people, a handful of non-participating people — usually the listeners and the followers, and then you have a microscopic handful of gossipers, attention-seekers, and trouble-makers. Most the group or chat room are what you would consider okay while the microscopic handful of the rest are there for the sole purpose of bringing attention to themselves and at the same time finding a scapegoat for their own inadequacies, failures and personal problems. These are the kinds that begin the gossip and begin the trouble in these places.

How Do You Differentiate? If you just listen and observe for a while, you can see which persons consistently put people down, call people names, insult people and belittle people. These are the bullies in the groups and chat rooms and even in some message boards. Sometimes what happens is that you can have a friend (acquaintance) in these places that is part of the bullying and you never noticed that about them before. But if you read his messages or posts you will see that he is constantly calling someone names, or belittling them. This gossiper, troublemaker will do his best to make others in the group think that someone else is the problem. When in reality, the gossiper is the problem and the gossiper is the troublemaker. But you, being his friend, believe his gossip and begin to side with him. And that begins a roller coaster of many people in the group joining behind the gossiper thinking that the gossiper is the one who is correct in all his judgments. Wrong. It just seems that way. Appearances can be deceiving. And everything is not always as it seems.

Solutions? The solution to this simple problem is to examine the situation yourself, and make your own judgments rather than listening to anyone else’s words about someone else or about some situation. If something happened and you want to know what really happened, then go right to the source, do not ask someone else what happened. For example, once there was a group and one person in the group began to say things about a group member. That group member chose to ignore the verbal attacker. What happened was that other group members saw the typing and the messages of the gossiper and they began to think that what the gossiper was saying was truth. (He would type sentences like, mary said this or mary wants this or that . As soon as you see a person typing like that in a group or chatroom, do not assume that what he is saying about Mary is true. On the other hand you can know that your friend (the one that typed about Mary) is a gossiper. Yes, that person is telling gossip, whether the statements are true or false, you are in the presence of someone who gossips. And know that once that person gossips about someone, they will surely gossip about you next. If you want to know what Mary is really like or what Mary said, indeed ask Mary. But do not ask her in the same room or message board that the gossiper has posted his attacks in. The solution to this very simple problem is to stop listening to gossip, period. Another solution is facing the gossiper and telling them that you do not want to hear about it anymore. Just tell them flat out that you do not listen to gossip. Now, that will shock him, as most people do not have the courage to say that to a person who habitually gossips. But you do have the courage, so bravo!

Gossipers are bullies: Did you wince at that? The bottom line is that gossipers and bullies are sometimes just as harmful to society. So forget the wincing and make it gossip lanka your decision to stop listening to the gossipers. The reason that gossipers are bullies is because the whole aim and goal of a bully is to control something. They want to control either a situation or a person or something in between, but they do want to control something. Most times they have lost control of their own situations, homes, families or even of their own self-control. And so they graduate from no self-control to trying to control others by bullying them. So, next time you see a gossiper, know that person is a bully and keep on walking by if you do not have the courage to confront that person with the truth. Your life will be less complicated and you will have more joy if you just stop listening to gossipers (bullies). When people begin talking about other people, they want you to think a certain way about them. If you think for yourself and use your own ears and own your own ears, you are one step ahead of the gossiper.

Making Your Own Decisions: When a person gossips about one or two individuals, instead of listening to the gossip, pause, and observe the person for yourself. You will learn more that way than you will learn by listening to some gossip from a bully. When you accept the bully’s judgments and statements about people, then you give the bully power and you begin to alienate people around you. Why? Because as time passes, others will see that the bully was just trying to control people, and then you will be left standing there, on the outside of the circle because you listened to two-cents worth of gossip.

Buying PV Solar Panels

Are PV panels viable?

PV modules or Solar Panels are undoubtedly the sustainable energy solution for homes that provides the lowest operating costs. With the SEI/CER Micro generation program now ready for implementation PV panel installation will be hard too beat in the right locality.

PV cells have been around for centuries but even now research is on for newer technologies.  ひたちなか市 学習支援   This is because the solar energy conversion efficiency of the commercially available PV modules is never more than 13 -15% in actual usage. The beauty of it though is every watt thus generated is free and renewable. About 80% of all the PV modules manufactured for terrestrial applications are still the crystalline first generation type.

Are all Solar Panels equal?

Certainly not! The same way there are many different materials used, there are different performance details which differ. Quality standards is another matter altogether. Unless you are at least conversant with basic electricity and distribution of it in homes you would do better to leave everything to a professional. But for those who are technically minded these are some facts to evaluate when you buy PV panels.

Quality Standards
As all other equipment imported in to the EU market PV solar panels also should conform to CE, ISI, BS or EN pertaining to the item. ISO 9000 series quality management and, ISO 14000 series environmental management system etc are the other relevant standards pertaining to the manufacturing process and the facility. You will have to ensure the manufacturer’s standards certificates cover the model and the year of manufacture of the unit you intend to purchase. (These validities have to be periodically renewed).
